35.1.1Drilling 150mm diameter bore holes in all types of soils except boulders, weathered / hard rocks, conducting the following field and laboratory tests and furnishing the detailed report consisting of site plan showing the locations of the bore holes with R.L.of the locations with a reference bench mark, bore logs, field & laboratory test results, recommendations for the depths & types of foundations allowable safe bearing capacities / pile carrying capacities etc.in triplicate all as per the procedures given in the relevant I.S.codes (the rate includes mobilisation and demobilisation charges) A) Field work: (i) Conducting standard penatration test at regular intervals of 1m upto 4m depth & of 1.5m interval in further depths and change of layers. (ii) Collecting disturbed soil samples in case of cohesionless soil layers and undisturbed soil samples in case of cohesive soil layers (the representative samples shall be at every 0.5m interval including the soil recovered from split spoon sampler). (iii) Observing and recording ground water table.(iv) Collecting water sample for conducting chemical analysis if the ground water is present at or above the depth of foundations. B) Laboratory tests:(i) Grain size analysis, (ii) Atterberg's Limits, (iii) Free swell tests, (iv) Unit weight, (v) Water content (vi) Shear test / UCC test (vii) Consolidation test - upto 10 m depth from the ground level or 3m into the very dense / very hard soil strata with N value more than 50, whichever is met earlier (If the observed N values are more than 50, the same shall be ascertained in further depths of minimum 3 m at 1m intervals and if the observed N vlues are 50 or less, the test shall be continued again upto 10m depth or into the very dense / very hard strata for 3 more metres)Nos10,954.31
