Every contractor we know has more engineering work than engineers to do it. So we started an engineering firm where AI does the production work and our engineers check it and sign it off.
The work grew faster than the team.
We grew up around engineering work. When project volume rose at a firm close to us, they did what firms have always done. They hired three more estimators and hoped the work would still be there once they were trained.
Good software, but people still did the work.
We spent months inside a contractor’s estimating, bid, procurement and contracts teams. Their tools were good. Someone still had to read the drawings, break down the scope, find the rates and check for omissions before anything went out.
So we became an engineering firm.
We stopped selling software and started doing the work ourselves. You send the package. Our AI does the production work, and our engineers review it, correct it and sign it off. There is no new software for your team to learn.
Engineering firms have grown by hiring more engineers, often in cheaper places. We think the next ones will grow by moving production work into software.
AI can now read drawings, specifications and long tender documents. Most of the production work can now be automated, while engineers still make the decisions.
We have built enterprise software and large AI systems. We work alongside engineers who do this job every day, and their corrections go straight back into how the system works.
