How to use the Haryana Schedule of Rates
The haryana schedule of rates sets the department's accepted rate for each item of work, and estimates for Haryana government projects are built by mapping a project's Bill of Quantities to these items. Rates here run from ₹0.31 per sqm to ₹89,33,459.00 each, spanning 28 chapters from earthwork through to finishing trades.
Three things routinely go wrong. Estimators price against a superseded edition, because correction slips are published separately from the main schedule. They pick a nearly-similar item code rather than the exact one, which survives internal review and fails departmental scrutiny. And they miss that a rate is quoted for a different unit than the BOQ uses — a sqm rate applied to a each quantity is a large error that looks reasonable on a spreadsheet.
